Casual Japanese Cuisine with Traditional Décor and Hospitality

Since 1933, Kappou Tonbo has been a popular venue for special occasions such as wedding receptions and important family dinners. The Hitotori Kaiseki Takumi course features classic Japanese dishes, including beef sukiyaki, tempura, and sashimi. Maple saikyoyaki (Kyoto-style) balances the gentle sweet richness of maple syrup and a blend of miso varieties, including Kyoto's famous white miso. Together they enhance the umami of the fresh, fatty fish.

The restaurant's private rooms can accommodate from 2 to 100 people, offering a relaxing and comfortable dining experience. Ask your hotel concierge to call for reservations.

The private tatami-mat room offers chair-seating in a traditional Japanese setting.
