Japan's oldest existing bento shop today was founded in 1850. Try fish and vegetables richly seasoned with soy sauce and plenty of sugar, a favorite of Edo townspeople. At Benmatsu Honten and at department stores such as Tokyo Station Daimaru and Ginza Mitsukoshi.
